Etizolam is a Benzodiazepine, also it is similar to Diazepam or Valium. Although it works same as the benzodiazepine but it has a slightly different chemical formula as Benzodiazepines has benzene ring Etizolam has thiophene ring.
Etizolam has properties of Muscle Relaxant, anti convulsion, Sleep aid, anti anxiety and sedative.
The WHO report says that Etizolam is 6 times more potent then Diazepam.
Etizolam works like other Benzos by targeting the GABA receptors in the brain. It helps to sleep quickly and for longer hours throughout the night.
The effect of Etizolam is usually observed within 20 – 40 minutes of the oral administration.
Etizolam effects last for around 6-10 hours. This is how Etizolam is able to give you long hours of sleep can calming effect after consumption.
Do not take alcohol when you are on Etizolam as it is a sedative and can result in oversleeping and lack of concentration.
Do not drive or use heavy tools or machinery after the oral administration of Etizolam.
Use of Etizolam in pregnancy is not recommended, your doctor will prescribe you with alternate medicine if you are pregnant. As it can be harmful for the new born baby.
You should not use Etizolam if you are breastfeeding as some part of the Etizolam can be transferred through the milk to the baby.
Etizolam should be taken as prescribed by your doctor.
MISSED DOSE: It is suggested to take a missed dose as soon as you remember. Do not take the missed dose if it is already the time for the next dose as it can cause overdose.
OVERDOSE : If you think you have overdosed the medication, contact the doctor as soon as possible as overdose of these medications can be dangerous.
It is not recommended if you have condition where muscle tire rapidly causing weakness of muscles and other compileations.

It is not recommended to people suffering from the rare blood disease.
Narrow Angle Glaucoma:
Etizolam is not recommended if you suffer from Narrow Angle Glaucoma.
